The perimeter of the park is fully fenced off and features a double-gated entrance. There is plenty of seating, a water hose at the bottom of the hill and two shelters to protect from the weather. This park provides the perfect cardio workout for your dog and will have them howling from the hilltop!

Borer’s Falls dog park is located just off of Highway 6 in Dundas. The park is well maintained and provides two separate fenced areas for large dogs and smaller dogs. The park has benches and picnic tables for seating located under the shade of some mature trees. If your dog is the type that prefers to keep you company, the nearby Borer’s Falls Trail is a great spot for you both to explore. The trail features a 15-metre-high curtain waterfall that was once used to power a local sawmill. There is a stone bridge dated back to 1868 which provides a great view of the top of the falls. All in all, this is a great place to explore and spend some quality time with your canine companion.

There is also a service building beside the park’s south entrance, which has a public restroom. Cathedral park is an ideal spot for dog owners that live in the downtown region of Hamilton.

Offering 23.5 acres of leash free area, there’s plenty of space for your dog to run off some steam. The park is dedicated to fallen Canadian soldier Corporal Nathan Cirillo. This was one of his favourite places to visit with his dogs. The park is fully fenced and has a double-gated entranceway. It contains plenty of seating and a garbage can near the entrance. It also features walking trails and a stream where the dogs can enjoy some fun in the water. This park is highly recommended and has lots to offer.


Heritage Green Community Dog Park

Heritage Green is an excellent location to exercise your dog and socialize with the community. The dog park is part of the 56-acre passive park at the corner of Mud street. The leash-free zone offers a double-gated large open space that is completely enclosed by a chain link fence. Water bowls are provided for you to fill when your dog gets thirsty. There are plenty of benches and a pathway with 3.1 kilometers of accessible trails that connect to the East Mountain Loop and Heritage Green Community Sports Park. This park is a wonderful spot for organized play dates and some quality time with your pup.

The park is divided into two sections, the larger section on the North side contains a leash-free dog park and there’s a smaller community garden on the South side. The park is moderately shaded and equipped with benches, picnic tables, a water fountain, a gazebo, and a playground. This is a lovely community space for you and your dog to enjoy together. 


Rail Trail Dog Park

Found in a secluded location, this dog park is a true hidden gem, located off Corktown Park near Forest Avenue and Aurora Street. The park is completely enclosed with a chain-link fence and also features a fresh running water fountain. After your dog has enjoyed some time off leash there’s easy access to Bruce and Rail trail for a nice long hike together.
