NutriCanine is a dog food subscription service. You provide information about your dog and we use it to create a custom meal plan just for them. Our meals are pre-portioned and delivered right to your door every two weeks. Here’s how you can get started in 3 easy steps:
1.) CREATE YOUR DOG'S PROFILE
We want to get to know your dog. Tell us your pooch's name, breed, age, ideal weight and any health concerns.
2.) PERSONALISED MEAL PLAN
We create a meal plan that's just right for your dog. A rotating selection of protein blends provides nutrients and variety.
3.) DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR
Our meal plans arrive at your door in airtight bags with thermal packaging to ensure freshness. Each meal is pre-portioned for one day's serving. Store them in your freezer, then defrost in your fridge the night before consumption. Shipping is always free and we deliver two week's worth of meals at a time.
When you apply as little as 47°C, the nutrients in meat are progressively destroyed – losing up to 50% of vitamins and minerals within the first 3 mins.
The scientific community agrees that heat breaks down vitamins, amino acids and produces undesirable cross-linkages in proteins. 'Gently Cooking' meat also heats animal fats that generate carcinogens including acrolein, nitrosamines, hydrocarbons and benzopyrene (one of the most potent cancer causing agents known).
A NutriCanine raw diet contains all of the natural vitamins and amino acids that your dog needs. Raw meat also contains the enzymes that help your dog break down food – it's actually more difficult for dogs to digest cooked meat because these enzymes are missing. Raw food is the healthiest option for all dogs, and NutriCanine's custom meals are the best option for your dog.

No. Canines' short and simple digestive tracts are designed to eat, digest and assimilate raw meat easily. Dogs also have a high level of hydrochloric acid in their stomachs that allows them to digest animal proteins, bones and fat, while breaking down harmful bacteria. Dogs are not affected the same way by salmonella or e.coli like humans.
Transitioning to a raw food diet is simple! Follow these 3 easy steps and you are on your way to having a healthier and happier pup.
1.) Fast your dog for 12-24 hours.
2.) Start with half of a NutriCanine single serving. Once they've finished, offer the second half. If your dog doesn't finish, try offering the second half 12 hours later. Every dog is different and it may take some time for yours to adjust to the new diet. Just keep at it and soon your dog will be licking their bowl clean.
3.) Moving forward, feed one NutriCanine meal per day. Defrost each serving in the fridge overnight before feeding.
All of NutriCanine's meal plans come as a complete and balanced diet. We exceed both the National Research Council and AAFCO requirements. Each of our blends includes omega 3-6-9, ground bones and all of the nutrients required to create a wholesome meal. We will never try to upsell you on buying additional supplements or "toppers".
Every canine needs fats to keep them strong and healthy. Dogs do not have the same issues with heart disease and cholesterol that humans do. Having healthy fats in your dog’s diet is necessary for the absorption of vitamins and for protecting nerve, heart, liver, and kidney function. Healthy fats also reduce inflammation and keep your dog’s skin and coat healthy. If you are concerned about your dog being overweight, we will tailor their meal plan to help them achieve a healthy weight.
This is a great sign! When dogs transition from kibble to a NutiCanine raw diet, their stools reduce to about a third of the size. This is because our meals don't contain any fillers. Your dog will absorb all of the nutrients and vitamins, leaving a minimal amount of waste.
Absolutely! We will always be available for communication regarding your dog's needs. Happy, healthy dogs are a team effort. Feel free to email us at info@NutriCanine.ca if you have any questions regarding nutrition, additional information or for anything else.
Don't panic! Remove the NutriCanine label from one of the meal bags and submerge it in a bowl of warm water for 10mins. It's perfectly safe to give your dog their meal now.
Not all proteins are meant for dogs. The more amino acids a protein includes, the more digestible or “biologically available” it is for your dog. Our personalised, pre-portioned meal plans will ensure that your dog eats the best protein and gets the right nutrients at the right time. We take the guesswork out of feeding your dog.
Feeding your dog a raw diet can actually create a calming effect. High carbohydrate diets, like kibble, can raise and lower your dog’s sugar levels causing mood swings. A NutriCanine raw diet has shown to be the best remedy for hyperactive dogs and dogs with separation anxiety, because it helps keep their sugar levels, and therefore their mood, more balanced.
